I'm a big fan of Old Hollywood. And I'm an even bigger fan of catchy words. So when I first heard "moxie" used in one of those classic films, I was hooked.
Usually applied to the women who starred in them, "moxie" means spirit, chutzpah, personality, character.
In modern terms, it can also mean energy, grit and know-how.
The word is so multi-layered: it's elegantly simple on the surface, but rich in meaning underneath – just like the people I want to talk to, and just like the stories I want to tell.
And more than anything, the word is exactly what I'm trying to capture: the unique spirit that drives millennials. The same one that we can harness to be our best selves.
And if you're down – it's the same one I want to tap into as we go on this journey of self-improvement, together.
